Mit einer mehr als 300 Arbeiten und sechs Jahrzehnte umspannenden Werkschau widmet das Museum der Moderne Salzburg der 1939 geborenen New Yorker Künstlerin Carolee Schneemann eine große Retrospektive. Die Werkmonografie zur Ausstellung gibt erstmals umfassenden Einblick in das Werk der Künstlerin; einzelne Werke werden eingehend besprochen und Themen und Motive ihres Schaffens in wissenschaftlichen Texten analysiert.
With a show spanning more than 300 works and six decades, the Museum der Moderne Salzburg devotes a major retrospective to New York artist Carolee Schneemann born in 1939. The monograph of works accompanying the exhibition gives the first comprehensive insight into the artist’s work, with in-depth discussions of particular works and an analysis of the themes and motifs of her work in scholarly texts.
